“Audibility” is an in-progress research, artistic and intervention framework of TWIXTlab that deals with sound beyond hearing. It focuses on the experience of deafness through art workshops and the production of works with the participation of Deaf, deaf (K / k, following the conventional distinction between Deafness as a social identity and as a sensory peculiarity) and deaf adolescents and special education professionals.

The first year of the activities started with the participation of the visual and video artist Tatiana Remoundou, and will continue with the music and sound artist Lambros Pigounis. The project is coordinated on behalf of TWIXTlab by Yorgos Samantas, the educational part is curated by Dana Papachristou, and the scientific approaches by Panos Panopoulos.

The project is carried out with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Greece (art programs for universal accessibility to culture), and is part of the wider artistic collaboration program “B-Air: Art Infinity Radio – music for babies, toddlers and vulnerable groups”, co-funded by the Creative program Europe of the European Union, coordinated by RTV Slovenija.
